- Early in his music career, he and his brother, Vic, collaborated to form their own band Early Times. They used to play at the local events and venues in their hometown.
- He later became a member of the music band Before Today.
- In March 2012, he signed a record deal with Velocity Records for his hip-hop music project. He raps on the instrumentals created by Jaime Preciado, who is Pierce the Veil‘s bassist.
- In November 2017, he was accused of soliciting nude pictures via AOL instant messenger and statutory rape by a young woman. The woman claimed that incident took place when she was 16 years old.
- He was accused by another woman of sexual misconduct. She contended that he had asked for her nude pictures when she had turned 15.
- In December 2017, he issued a statement refuting all sexual misconduct allegations. He also announced that he was taking a hiatus from Pierce the Veil.
